Burgess Station is an extinct hamlet and former railroad station located in southern Boyd County, Kentucky. The place is named after George R. Burgess, a landowner. The widening of U.S. Route 23 eliminated the hamlet's original location in the 1980s. It was named after a former railroad station on the Chessie and Ohio railway that was once located there. The community of Burnaugh is located at the southern end of Burgess Station and was named in part after it. It is also just east of the unincorporated hamlet of Durbin, KY which is on KY Route 752. It is located on a CSX railway and is served by the Catlettsburg, KY post office zip code of 41129.
